HDR Panorama with Smartphone

A panorama consists of several images. In the case of an HDR panorama, each image consists of several photos with different exposure, a so-called exposure bracketing. Due to the different exposures, the HDR photo got a wide range of dynamic. Particularly in the case of interior images with light-flooded windows, but also darker corners, more details can be displayed.

Now some camera apps offer different HDR shooting modes. The automatic HDR recording, usually taking two shots one after the other and being combined directly into an HDR photo, and the Exposure Bracketing, in which the images of a series of exposures are stored individually and combined with an image processing program. Exposure Bracketing thus offers more scope for even better results. In this tutorial, we present Open Camera for Android and IOS, which allows automatic HDR, as well as Exposure Bracketing recordings.
